Painting Brisbane homes
Brisbane has one of the most varied housing mixes in the country: timber Queenslanders and workers' cottages, post-war weatherboard homes, brick and render from the 1970s onwards, and modern townhouses. Each one needs a different approach to preparation and paint.
Add humid summers, afternoon storms and strong UV, and preparation becomes the difference between a repaint that lasts and one that starts peeling within a few years.

Queenslanders and timber homes
Older timber homes need careful preparation: sanding back failing layers, priming bare timber, and sealing joints and gaps so the new paint can move with the boards. If your home was built before the 1970s, older paint layers may contain lead, so it's worth having them tested before any sanding. We'll talk this through at the quote.
